Questions and answers regarding our service
Here you will find a compilation of the most freuqently asked questions and the replies to these. Hopefully you will be able to find any question you may have already lsited here and the answer to it will help you.
One of the most common misconceptions. You are not in any way forced to register to use our services, although you will be unable to track your Trail history and reward history without registering.
You most certainly may. We have set up our puzzle solver to allow incorporation into other websites in as userfriendly a manner as possible, just follow the checklist below;
- Your site supports the use of Frames (Alternatively we recommend theu se of ColorBox, which is how we implement it our selves)
- The area showing the puzzle solver holds a minimum size of 270px wide and 660px high.
- Feel free to include the puzzle now from http://rstt.net/puzzle/
Why we have these rules? Our puzzle solver is our most popular feature, and we have various analytical processes run on it both to determine popularity, but also how it is used. As such we require the use of Frames so we may continue improving upon our tool. The sizing restrictions are so that our advertisement on the page is not hidden. Although we provide the implementation for free, we still have our own bills to pay.
By signing up, you will have the following features available to you;
- Record your Treasure Trails
- Record your Trail Rewards
- User friendly sharing of your trails with your friends
- Integration with social services such as Twitter, tweet your clues!
Fear not, we are always up for fixing bugs and helping solve your usability issues with the site.
Feel free to contact us on IRC in #RSTT on SwiftIRC (Also accessible through SwiftKit)
Because collecting clue data takes time, our system placed the marker at the Observatory if there is no information collected yet (clues without coordinate data automatically have the coordinates 00.00N 00.00E).
We are always working to improve these and they will be udpated on the fly as we collect more data.
